Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC) and AICTE, where student teams build software and hardware solutions to real-world governance and industry problem statements. The 9th edition — SIH 2026 — is underway, and colleges are running internal hackathons and nominating teams now. Kurela partners with your college for SIH readiness: we help run your internal hackathon, mentor and shortlist teams against the official problem statements, and prepare your nominated teams for the national rounds.
